Departure from Amsterdam
Today you will depart from Amsterdam on your scheduled flight to New Delhi.
On the day of departure, you must report at least 3–4 hours in advance at Schiphol Airport for your international flight from Amsterdam to New Delhi.

Arrival in New Delhi & Domestic Flight to Bodhgaya
Upon arrival at Delhi International Airport, you will continue your journey with a domestic flight to Gaya.
Departure: Delhi at 14:45 hrs
Arrival: Bodhgaya at 16:20 hrs
Upon arrival at Bodhgaya Airport, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel in Bodhgaya, where you can spend the rest of the evening at leisure.
Background Information – Bodhgaya
Bodhgaya is a major Buddhist pilgrimage site because of the Mahabodhi Temple Complex, where Gautama Buddha attained enlightenment. Located in the Indian state of Bihar, it was historically part of the Maurya Empire.
City Tour Bodhgaya & Gaya
After breakfast, visit the UNESCO Mahabodhi Complex, the Great Buddha Statue, followed by a trip to Gaya to visit the Vishnupad Temple and Pretshilla Hill.
At the foot of the hill lies Ramkund, where Lord Rama is believed to have bathed before performing rites for his ancestors.
Participants who want to climb the hill to visit the Yama Temple may do so.
By late afternoon, return to your hotel.
Sight Information
Gaya
Located 8 km from Bodhgaya, Gaya is an important Hindu center. According to the Vedas, Lord Rama and Devi Sita performed the ritual pind daan for King Dasharath here. The footprint of Lord Vishnu marks the spot where he defeated the demon Gayasur. The Falgu River here is believed to be cursed by Devi Sita and remains dry on the surface, though there is water beneath.
Mahabodhi Temple Complex
One of India's oldest brick temples and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It marks the sacred place where Buddha attained enlightenment.
Great Buddha Statue
A 25-meter-high Japanese-style Buddha statue unveiled in 1989 by the Dalai Lama.
Vishnupad Temple
A temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, containing a 40 cm footprint of Vishnu encased in a silver basin. It is also a site for pind daan rituals.
Pretshilla Hill
Located 13 km from Gaya. On top is a Yama temple marking the departure place of souls. The climb is 676 steps (about 1 hour).
Drive Bodhgaya to Varanasi (Approx. 6 hours)
Morning departure to Varanasi.
Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. In the evening, witness the Ganga Aarti on the ghats of the Ganges.
Varanasi Tour & Sunrise Boat Ride
The day begins early with a sunrise boat tour on the holy Ganges River.
The city comes alive at dawn as thousands of devotees gather at the riverbanks to worship the Sun God.
You will also have the opportunity for Darshan at Shri Kashi Vishvanath Jyotirlinga and visit Sarnath.
In the evening, return to the hotel.
Background Information
Kashi Vishwanath Temple
Dedicated to Lord Shiva. The original temple was destroyed by Aurangzeb; the present one was built in 1776 by Queen Ahilya Bai of Indore.
Sarnath
The place where Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment.
Ganga Aarti
A spiritual evening ceremony performed on the banks of the Ganges.
Drive Varanasi to Prayagraj (Approx. 5 hours)
After breakfast, drive to Prayagraj. Visit the Triveni Ghat, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers meet.
You will also visit Anand Bhavan.
The rest of the evening is free.
Drive Prayagraj to Ayodhya (Approx. 5 hours) & Ayodhya Tour
After breakfast, depart for Ayodhya—one of India's oldest cities and the birthplace of Bhagwan Shri Ram.
Upon arrival, visit:
- Ram Mandir
- Kanak Bhawan
- Dashrath Mahal
In the evening, visit the sacred Sarayu River ghats.
Domestic Flight: Ayodhya → New Delhi
After breakfast, transfer to Ayodhya Airport for your flight to Delhi.
Departure: Ayodhya at 14:00 hrs
Arrival: Delhi at 15:25 hrs
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Background – Delhi
Delhi blends ancient history with modernity, consisting of Old Delhi and New Delhi. It has been a major city in India for over 3000 years, with roots in the Mahabharata-era city of Indraprastha.
Holi Celebrations – The Festival of Colors
Enjoy a fun and traditional Holi celebration in New Delhi with music, dance, organic colors, snacks, and drinks.

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Old and New Delhi, including:

Drive Delhi to Haridwar

According to Vedic scriptures, a drop of nectar (Amrit) fell here, signifying the origin of the world. The evening aarti is a magical spectacle.
Haridwar & Rishikesh Tour
Guided tour of Haridwar including:
