Departure Amsterdam – Cairo
Today you depart from Amsterdam with your booked flight from Amsterdam to Cairo. On the day of departure, you should check in at Schiphol Airport at least 4 hours before your international flight from Amsterdam to Cairo (with short layover). For current departure, arrival times, and check-in counter information, you can consult the digital screens of Schiphol in the departure halls.
Arrival Cairo • Pyramids & Sphinx
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met by your private chauffeur and taken to your hotel accommodation. After check-in and a short rest, you will be picked up for a visit to the iconic Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx. Experience the grandeur of these ancient wonders that have stood for over 4,500 years. After the visit, you will be taken back to your hotel.
Cairo City Tour • Flight to Luxor
After breakfast, you will be picked up for a comprehensive city tour of Cairo. Visit the Egyptian Museum, home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities including the treasures of Tutankhamun. Explore the historic Islamic Cairo district and the bustling Khan el-Khalili bazaar. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Cairo Airport for your domestic flight to Luxor. Upon arrival in Luxor, you will be met and transferred to your Nile cruise ship.
Luxor • Valley of the Kings • Karnak Temple
After breakfast on board, you will visit the legendary Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs were buried in elaborate tombs. Explore the magnificent Karnak Temple complex, one of the largest religious sites ever constructed. Visit the Temple of Luxor, beautifully illuminated and connected to Karnak by the Avenue of Sphinxes. Return to the cruise ship for lunch. In the afternoon, the ship sails to Esna.
Esna • Edfu Temple
After breakfast, visit the Temple of Khnum in Esna, dedicated to the ram-headed god of creation. Continue sailing to Edfu, where you will visit the Temple of Horus, one of the best-preserved ancient Egyptian temples. This magnificent temple is dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god. Return to the ship and continue sailing to Kom Ombo.
Kom Ombo • Aswan
After breakfast, visit the unique Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to both Horus the Elder and Sobek the crocodile god. This double temple is perfectly symmetrical. Continue sailing to Aswan, where you will visit the High Dam, an engineering marvel, and the Unfinished Obelisk. Take a traditional felucca boat ride on the Nile to see the beautiful Agha Khan Mausoleum. Return to the cruise ship.
Aswan • Philae Temple • Flight to Cairo
After breakfast, visit the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. This temple was relocated to Agilkia Island after the construction of the High Dam. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Aswan Airport for your domestic flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Return Trip Cairo – Amsterdam
After breakfast, you will have some free time for last-minute shopping or exploring Cairo at your leisure. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport approximately four hours before your flight departs for your international flight to Amsterdam (with short layover).
